Raksa Koma Foundations donates 10 Huawei MatePad tablets

The Raksa Koma foundation is founded by Her Excellency Chea Serey and aims to empower underprivileged Cambodian children with the same opportunity as all people for a better future of themselves and their community.

Seeing the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic on education, Her Excellency Chea Serey, Founder of Raksa Koma Foundation, gave order for the donation of 40 Huawei tablets. The tablets are to be donated to 4 local NGOs working in education sector and the donation hope to resolve some of the difficulties faced by students, particularly the underprivileged students studying in Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs) schools.
New Hope Cambodia is very excited to announce that on the 29 July 2021 the Raksa Koma Foundation held a handover ceremony with the four local NGOs selected to receive the donation.  The four recipient organisations are People Improvement Organization, Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, Krousar Thmey Foundation and New Hope Cambodia!

Due to the current COVID-19 travel restrictions New Hope Cambodia was unable to attend the handover ceremony instead attending the ceremony via zoom.  All going well New Hope Cambodia will attend Phnom Penh later in August to receive the tablets.

We would like to express our sincere thank you to the Raksa Koma Foundation for their generous donations. The tablets will go a long way in assisting our students with online learning.
