Sunrise New Hope relies on the generosity of its supporters to provide vital health, education and welfare services to the people of Mondul Bai.
We sincerely thank the following organisations for their generous support.
Sunrise New Hope and the impoverished people of Siem Reap extend a big thank you to iHerb, an international distributor of nutritional supplements, sports supplements, bath and beauty items, pet products, baby needs, aromatherapy and food products, based in Moreno Valley, California. iHerb has a vision to use their profits to assist the impoverished in less developed countries and is providing financial support to Sunrise New Hope’s programs on a monthly basis.
G Adventures provides responsible tourism services and believes in giving back to the communities that their customers visit. In 2011, G Adventures helped establish the Sunrise New Hope Vocational Training Restaurant. This project provides education and employment access for residents in one of the world’s poorest regions, and is visited by 5,000 Angkor Wat-bound G Adventures travellers annually.
Established in 2003, the Planeterra Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the communities touched by tourism benefit from the opportunities it provides. Planeterra works directly with G Adventures to minimize the impact on the destinations, and to promote sustainable solutions and economic growth for communities. Planeterra manages over 50 current and funded projects in underserved regions all over the world.
Planeterra has helped to build the Sunrise New Hope Vocational Training Restaurant, which trains marginalized people in the community hospitality skills to help them obtain new dignified job opportunities.
Sunrise New Hope became a project of Sunrise Cambodia in 2016. Sunrise Cambodia is an NGO focused on community development in Cambodia with operations in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville and Kompong Speu. Over the past 21 years Sunrise has grown from offering residential care to orphaned, disadvantaged, disabled and trafficked children, to working with local communities to break the cycle of poverty and transform the lives of some of Cambodia’s most vulnerable at at-risk families.
Sunrise’s programs seek to improve the livelihoods of those we work with by increasing the standards of education, improving health and strengthening economic community development.
Aussies For Orphans and their donors have funded a classroom in the school and are also funding through their ‘coffee for life’ donations, the teachers salaries, classroom supplies, school uniforms and a protein snack for 140 kindy kids each day.
Aussies For Orphans aim is to provide supportive living environments for orphaned and vulnerable children and their communities, around the world. Instead of ‘re-creating the wheel’, the committee of Aussies for Orphans (AFO) made a decision to support ‘in country’ organisations to do what they do best; support the needs of orphaned and vulnerable children.
Baobab Reizen (Netherlands) provide environmentally sustainable and socially responsible travel services. The ‘fair way’ according to Baobab means that you contribute actively during your trip to the preservation of nature, and contribute to smaller, local projects that benefit directly from your travelling.
Baobab actively supports the ANVR and ECPAT-NL to combat child prostitution in holiday countries, and signed a further agreement with ECPAT UK. ECPAT-NL provides insight into the complex issue of sexual exploitation of children, illustrates what can and should be done to combat the problem.
